The two-week long and stressful preparation for the Earth Hour Event had definitely paid off. It’s a redundant phrase but it surely does fit! ;)
The venue started gathering a small crowd as the sun slowly started to set. The stage was a total eye catcher with it’s simple yet very modern design. A jam session with bands from Xavier University’s Sound Table killed time before the program proper. The program officially started at around 7:30pm. There were a lot of dancing and singing from tribes and groups all the way from different parts of Mindanao. There never was a dull moment during the program since it was very entertaining. Big shot local politicians and government officers were also spotted during the event.
